Arunachal Pradesh graced with snowfall, avalanche alert issued

Various towns and villages in the picturesque state of Arunachal Pradesh are now draped in a pristine blanket of snow, transforming the landscape into a mesmerizing winter wonderland. Tawang, Mechuka, Chaglagam, Bomdila, Sarli, Ziro, and Anini are among the locations that have witnessed heavy snowfall, prompting authorities to issue an avalanche warning.

The respective district administrations have raised alarms, urging travelers, commuters, and residents to exercise caution and avoid unnecessary ventures during this period of intense snowfall. An advisory is in place for commuters to maintain heightened awareness while driving, considering the slippery and challenging road conditions.

Anini in Dibang Valley, along with Tawang and Mechukha in Shi Yomi, has been particularly enchanted by the snowfall, offering a serene and picturesque spectacle. The undulating hills and dense forests have donned a magical white coat, creating a scene straight out of a winter fairy tale.

However, the heavy snowfall has not come without its challenges. Dozens of vehicles, including trucks, have been stranded in and around Sella Pass and near the upcoming Sella Tunnel due to the thick snow, with some drivers enduring the situation for the past three days without access to food.
