Assam State Government is planning to bring new laws within the territory. On ‘lovd jihad’ new rule will be imposed soon.
He said, “We spoke about ‘love jihad’ during the elections. Soon, we will bring a law which will award life imprisonment in such cases.”
Other than this, the state government has prioritized the indigenous people, i.e. to get a state government job is Assam the mandatory criteria will be an Assamese born person. Under Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma this new policy will also be introduced in the ‘one lakh government jobs’.
Further, between Hindus and Muslim land transaction, consent of Assam Chief Minister will be mandatory before going ahead, the CM said.
