Mumbai Indians lost against Rajasthan Royals. Captain Hardik Panda also did not get success with bat or ball. However, Hardik was given a special memento by the team for touching a milestone. Team bowling coach Lasith Malinga handed over a special memento to Hardik on MondayTradition and developmentHardik has already set the precedent of playing 100 matches in IPL. The match against Rajasthan was his 100th match in the Mumbai jersey.
To commemorate the special match, Malinga presented Hardik with a special Mumbai jersey with 100 written on it. The memento was presented by the Mumbai franchise to the skipper Tim Hurdle during the innings between the two teams. The Mumbai franchise shared the video of giving Hardik a commemorative jersey with cricket lovers on social media.
The memory of the 100th IPL match for Mumbai, however, was not a happy one for Hardik. His team lost to Rajasthan by 9 wickets. He also failed as a cricketer. Scored 10 runs with the bat. Later he spent 21 runs in 2 overs while bowling. Hardik’s leadership has been questioned since the beginning of the IPL. It is heard that he is not popular as a captain even among the team. All in all, nothing is going well for Hardik in this IPL. The 100th match for Mumbai was no different.
