Japheth Woch, the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) of Peren, has alerted the public about the closure of NH-129A, currently under construction, linking Peren Town and Jalukie Town. The closure follows a significant landslide near Old Jalukie Village on June 2, 2024.
In light of this development, commuters are urged to utilize the road diversion via the Old Peren-Jalukie road for travel between Peren Town and Upper Jalukie, and vice versa. This alternative route will ensure continued connectivity while necessary repairs and clearance work are undertaken on NH-129A.
Authorities advise travelers to exercise caution and adhere to traffic regulations during their journey via the designated diversion route.
