Gurgaon-based Medanta – The Medicity, recognized as India’s Best Private Hospital by Newsweek for six consecutive years, is launching a three-day multi-speciality medical camp in Kohima from June 25 to 27, 2025. The initiative, in collaboration with the Government of Nagaland, IDAN, Directorate of Industries and Commerce, and Nagaland Police, aims to offer advanced medical services to underserved communities.
Held across three key locations, the camp will cater to government staff, public sector employees, and police personnel, addressing urgent health needs — particularly Nagaland’s high cancer burden. Following its recent MoU with the state government under the Chief Minister’s Health Insurance Scheme (CMHIS), Medanta’s effort underscores a commitment to inclusive healthcare.
Dr. Naresh Trehan, Chairman and MD of Medanta, said, “Every life is precious. Through this initiative, we bring world-class expertise to the doorstep of those who need it most.”
In Kohima, the response has been overwhelmingly hopeful. Local leaders and health advocates see this as more than a camp—it’s a beginning. The market views it as a signal for sustained healthcare access, future collaborations, and growing investor interest in the region’s health sector.
