The Medicity, Gurgaon, ranked India’s Best Private Hospital by Newsweek for six consecutive years, has formally announced its partnership with the Government of Nagaland and the Investment and Development Authority of Nagaland (IDAN) to launch a health awareness booklet, “A Guide to Better Health.”
The initiative, conceptualized by Hon’ble Speaker of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly, Sharingain Longkumer, and supported by the Department of Youth Resources and Sports, was launched by Hon’ble Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio. The booklet was distributed among all 60 MLAs and over 150 senior officials, with digital versions planned for wider access. Abu Metha, Advisor to the Chief Minister and Chair of IDAN, emphasized that the handbook underscores the state’s commitment to public well-being.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Naresh Trehan, Chairman and Managing Director of Medanta, reiterated the hospital’s commitment to preventive care, highlighting the role of lifestyle management, yoga, and timely screenings in safeguarding long-term health. With increasing lifestyle-related health issues and rising healthcare spending, Shillong’s consumers and business community are responding positively to awareness efforts that align with both social impact and market demand. This launch follows Medanta’s MoU with the Nagaland government under the Chief Minister’s Health Insurance Scheme and its successful multi-speciality medical camp in Kohima.
