Fireworks not only destroy the environment, but they also cause tremendous distress to humans and animals. Fireworks will be permitted from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. during Diwali and other celebrations. However, for Christmas and New Year’s Eve, the authorized period is 11:55 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. The Commissioner’s Office stated that only low-emission firecrackers are permissible. To maintain regulatory compliance, licensed merchants can only sell these specified varieties.
According to the recommendation, fireworks should not be let off within 100 meters of silent zones, which include hospitals, schools, courts, houses of worship, and other designated areas.
