Nagaland’s pride: Lieutenant Hinoto Kakishe Yepthomi joins Indian Army ranks

Lieutenant Hinoto Kakishe Yepthomi, hailing from Vihokhu village in Niuland district, Nagaland, has been commissioned as an officer in the esteemed Indian Army. The ex-NCC cadet from Sainik School, Punglwa, marked this significant milestone at the Officer’s Training Academy in Chennai on March 9, 2024. The echoes of pride resounded through the corridors of Sainik School Punglwa as Cadet Hinoto Kakishe Yepthomi, Adm No. 368, etched his name in the annals of history.

After clearing the Services Selection Board for SSC TECH entry, Cadet Hinoto commenced his training at the Officers Training Academy (OTA) Chennai in April 2023. His perseverance and resilience bore fruit as he emerged as a shining example for aspiring young officers.
