On National Education Day, Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) showcased its unwavering commitment to skill development, empowering India’s youth through a range of transformative educational initiatives. Focused on bridging the skills gap, TKM’s programs offer practical solutions to equip economically underprivileged youth with the technical know-how to thrive in the modern industrial workforce.
A standout initiative is the Toyota Technical Training Institute (TTTI), which has been offering world-class technical education since 2007. Recently expanding its capacity to 1,200 students, including 600 women, TTTI provides a comprehensive three-year residential training program, emphasizing hands-on learning and holistic development. In addition, the Toyota Kaushalya Program, a unique “Learn and Earn” model, allows rural youth to gain industry experience while continuing their education.
Looking at Dimapur, TKM’s efforts align with the region’s increasing need for skilled professionals in automotive and industrial sectors. As Dimapur’s infrastructure and economy continue to grow, TKM’s programs offer a valuable opportunity for local youth to gain specialized skills and secure employment in industries critical to the region’s development. By fostering talent, TKM is helping Dimapur nurture a skilled workforce that can drive economic growth. “Through these initiatives, we are empowering youth and supporting India’s journey toward becoming a developed nation,” said G. Shankara, Executive VP of TKM.
