NCC Cadets Of Nagaland Scales Mount Saramati

In a remarkable display of endurance, discipline and teamwork, NCC cadets of Group HQs, Kohima successfully scaled Mt Saramati, the highest peak in Nagaland, at 0630 hours on 19 March 2026.

The expedition team comprised two officers, three Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs), four Associate NCC Officers (ANOs) including two women officers and a contingent of NCC cadets consisting of 20 Senior Wing (SW) and 18 Senior Division (SD) cadets.

The success of the summit reflects the high standards of training, determination and leadership fostered within the NCC. Beating the challenging terrain and demanding weather conditions, the team demonstrated exceptional resilience and coordination throughout the expedition.

This achievement stands as a testament to the spirit of adventure and national pride instilled in NCC cadets, further reinforcing the organisation’s commitment to youth development and character building.

The accomplishment of “Team Saramati” has brought laurels to the NCC and serves as an inspiration for aspiring young cadets across the region.
