During a week-long outreach campaign for PMAY-U 2.0, the Nagaland State Level Technical Cell team engaged stakeholders and improved comprehension of the mission objectives and execution methodologies in seven towns. According to a state level nodal agency press release, the expert team—which included IEC Expert Nchumthung Ovung, Data Management Expert Neitho Usou, and Engineering Expert Er. Arika Achumi—visited different cities to educate officials, council members, and other stakeholders about the mission’s components, project execution strategies, beneficiary outreach, and inter-departmental coordination.
Temjenrenla Kechu, State Mission Director for PMAY-U and combined Director & HoD of the Municipal Affairs Department, participated in a combined session for Dimapur, East Dimapur, and Chümoukedima on July 23. She offered insightful commentary on the PMAY-U 2.0 Mission, highlighting the necessity of collaborative governance to ensure the initiative’s success and the significance of urban housing for all. All of the ULBs showed a strong commitment to the successful implementation of PMAY-U 2.0 throughout the State, as seen by their encouraging participation and engagement. As part of its ongoing efforts to improve the mission’s outreach and guarantee uniform comprehension and execution at the local level, the team will also be covering the remaining ULBs in the days ahead.
