A police recruitment rally in Nagaland, which began on January 7, concluded on Tuesday.
A total of 144 vacancies were notified for Dimapur, Niuland and Chümoukedima districts, for which around 2,000 candidates had applied.
Dimapur Commissioner of Police, Aotula T. Imchen, while speaking to the media, informed that a total of 3,377 candidates had applied for the ongoing police recruitment rally, out of which 2,020 candidates appeared, while 1,357 candidates did not turn up.
She stated that the weeklong recruitment rally was conducted in the presence of various Civil Society Organisations (CSOs), district administrations, the Dimapur Naga Students’ Union (DNSU), and members of the media, under the supervision of the departmental recruitment board.
Commending the candidates who participated, CP Imchen appreciated their efforts and encouraged them to continue their preparations in the days ahead.
She further noted that due to the cooperation and coordination of all concerned agencies, the recruitment process was carried out in a transparent and seamless manner.
