Species from Pobitora wildlife sanctuary migrates due to change of environment

Pobitora, Assam’s world largest wetland which harbours highest density of one-horned rhinos is drying up due to unprecedented situation. The wetlands holds wide range of water bodies which comforts species like water birds.

The situation has effected so much of the wetland that now it hardly holds any trace of water in the land any more. Animals are trying to shift their areas in cause of the situation.

A forest official said, “This has never happened before none has ever seen rhinos drinking from this water-body earlier. This comes with ominous portents for Pobitora’s future.”

However, officials have conducted a scientific survey on the sudden shift of the situation, soon exercise to regain back to normal situation will take place.
