Supongnukshi inaugurated the welcome gate of Mitelephe village

Supongnukshi, Chief Conservator of Forests and Project Director for Forest & Biodiversity Management in the Himalayas (FBMP), opened the village’s welcome gate. Pastor BRC Mitelephe Zachütuo Yietsu delivered the dedicatory prayer. Supongnukshi praised the Village Council, Community Conservation Area Committee (CCA-C), and the village community in his inauguration speech for their effective construction of the village welcome gate, which has been in place for 61 years since the village’s founding.

He urged the locals to take on tasks honestly and diligently, explaining that future endeavors rely on the current labor. In the meantime, Banuo, the CCA-C treasurer, presented a presentation and Pelevituo Tsochü, the VDB secretary and chairman of the CCA-C, Mitelephe, gave a brief update on the project’s execution in the village. During his welcome speech, VCC Mitelephe, Kethowelie Khamo, thanked the Forest department for helping them build the village gate, which the project has made a reality.

Medolezo Tepa led the inaugural program, and Catholic Church Mitelephe catechist Suohienuo Angela prayed for God’s blessing. Khasüdi Tepa, Head GB, suggested a vote of gratitude after the village women’s group, Thenupfuko, gave a special performance. It should be noted that Mitelephe was chosen as a batch-2 village to deploy FBMP.
