Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) announced its specially modified Hilux at Himtech 2024, a symposium organized by the Indian Army and FICCI to enhance defense capabilities in high-altitude areas. The event showcased TKM’s commitment to “Raksha Atamanirbharta” through advanced military technology.
The Hilux, known for its quality, durability, and reliability, was displayed in two versions: the Field Deployment Vehicle (FDV) and a modified model for extreme terrains. The FDV is designed for logistical support and diagnostics, while the modified Hilux boasts upgraded suspensions and specialized tires for rugged environments.
In Kohima, the Hilux is attracting interest from businesses and government agencies seeking robust vehicles capable of navigating challenging landscapes. This reflects a growing demand for versatile utility vehicles that can support both commercial and defense applications, positioning TKM as a key player in the region’s mobility solutions.
