Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has once again joined hands with the iconic Hornbill Music Festival as the title sponsor for the third consecutive year. This year’s festival, which takes place from December 2 to December 10 at the Naga Heritage Village in Kisama, Kohima District, is set to feature a vibrant mix of performances, including an exciting opening act by Japan’s renowned Drum Tao ensemble. TKM’s partnership highlights its commitment to supporting Nagaland’s rich cultural heritage and promoting the region’s musical diversity.
Inaugurated by senior TKM leadership, the festival brings together traditional and contemporary musical experiences that resonate with both local and global audiences. TKM has also set up a car pavilion showcasing a range of models, including the Innova Crysta, Fortuner, and the hybrid electric Innova Hycross, among others. The Hornbill Music Festival serves as a crucial cultural event, attracting significant local and international attention.
In addition to celebrating music, the festival offers a glimpse into Nagaland’s distinct traditions, with performances and indigenous games that make it a central part of India’s cultural fabric. In Kohima, the festival draws thousands of visitors, contributing significantly to the local economy. With TKM’s ongoing efforts to expand its presence in the Northeast, including 39 touchpoints, it further strengthens its ties with the community by supporting local development and creating employment opportunities. TKM also promotes skill development in the region through its Toyota Technical Education Program (T-TEP), aiming to equip youth with technical skills for the automotive industry.
