Turning the tide: NSE-SSE’s first 5 listings make waves in social finance

The National Stock Exchange (NSE) has unveiled the first five Non-Profit Organizations (NPOs) listed on its pioneering Social Stock Exchange (SSE) platform. Swami Vivekananda Youth Movement (SVYM), Transform Rural India, Mukti, Ekalavya Foundation, and SGBS Unnati Foundation stand as pillars of change, embodying the SSE’s mission to revolutionize social finance.

These listings have not only signaled a paradigm shift in how funds are raised for social causes but have also set the stage for transformative impact across India. Approximately INR 8 Crore has been mobilized through these inaugural listings, demonstrating the power of collective action in driving positive change.

Notable among the attendees was the presence of Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman, Hon’ble Minister of Finance and Corporate Affairs, Government of India, who commended the NSE’s initiative in fostering impactful finance mechanisms for social welfare.
