Vice President of India, C. P. Radhakrishnan, is set to visit Nagaland for a day on March 6, where he will participate in the 8th convocation ceremony of Nagaland University before proceeding to Mizoram for subsequent convocations at Mizoram University and Tripura University on March 7 and 8 respectively. In anticipation of the visit, Dimapur police have issued a traffic advisory prohibiting parking along National Highway from Airport Junction to Chümoukedima between 6 am and 3 pm on March 6. Parking will only be allowed on one side of the road from 4th Mile to the Christian Institute of Health Sciences and Research. The police have urged citizens to cooperate and comply with this advisory.
