Deputy Commissioner Temsuwati Longkumer attended the Sampoornata Abhiyan Samman Samaroh event in Kiphire and Zunheboto, where he emphasized the district’s development and urged stakeholders to preserve the Sampoornata ethos for inclusive progress. Asela, Shekienu H. Sumi, GMS PHED Ward Kiphire, Kiukhachi & Sori SHGs, and Ashila were among the organizations that accomplished important metrics during the Sampoornata Abhiyan. SDO, Kiphire Headquarters, the Chief Medical Officer, the District Education Officer, and the Block Program Manager were among the keynote speakers. Cultural performances were held, and Aspirational Block Fellow Ningsangwu gave a report. The inauguration of “Aakanksha Haat” to encourage grassroots entrepreneurship marked the event’s conclusion.
MLA Er. Picto Shohe was a special guest at the Zunheboto program, which covered the Akuhaito Aspirational Block. Shohe, a local government official, expressed concern over the slow progress made since the program’s launch in 2023, citing infrastructure issues like poor road conditions and bus services. He acknowledged some progress through government interventions but called for more targeted efforts to address fundamental needs and uplift the block, which comprises 16 villages and four towns. The program aims to honor the contributions of frontline workers and SHGs while promoting holistic development as a model for Nagaland and beyond.
